3.4.76 : 3.4.04
On March 4, 2004 I superimposed a celestial, or astrological, map of my Date of Birth (3.4.76) onto a map of my city of residence at the time, Chicago. I placed Orange Dots in the landscape to indicate the positions of the celestial points at the time of my birth. I photographed 450+ of these orange markers in various locations in the city. This project took over 4 months to complete and took me to parts of Chicago I had never seen. The final piece was displayed as an installation that compressed the terrestrial and celestial map systems.
