With Child: Art and Parenting, curated by artists Lisa Simon and Skylar Smith, showcased new work by seven artists and new parents. Searching for ways to balance art, family, and identity, and eager to connect to other creative people in the same predicament, Simon and Smith conceived of a multi-faceted project to explore parenthood through the lens of the artist/parent. With Child: Art and Parenting was made possible with a generous grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women and partnerships with the Speed Art Museum and Jefferson Community and Technical College Department of Art.
